Freelance In Person Event Specialist(m/w/x)
On-site event setup and problem-solving for social impact team experiences. Experience executing high-level, large-scale events required. Per-event contract with flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills
- Based in Mörfelden-Walldorf, Germany
- Schedule flexibility for contract per-event basis
- Experience in complex, large-scale and small executive events
- Proven experience executing high-level events
- Resourcefulness, grace under pressure, solutions-minded
- Quick thinking and on-the-fly problem-solving
- Self-starter, organized and detail-oriented
- Enjoy building customer relationships and customer service
- Experience with group facilitation and managing dynamics
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Willingness to travel to various local regions
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills in fast-paced situations
- Ability to wear many hats and take on varied tasks
- Comfort being present and interacting with large crowds
- Ability to lift, slide, and carry up to 30 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
Tasks
- Join virtual planning meetings
- Set up event on-site
- Align with on-site team
- Tear down and clean site areas
- Problem-solve during events
- Ensure high-quality customer experience
- Represent Visit.org as a leader
- Manage check-in process
- Welcome guests warmly
- Handle missing supplies
- Address late staff issues
- Resolve technology challenges
- Escalate issues to Events Team
- Send updates, photos, and videos
- Clean site after event
- Repackage and ship materials
- Load boxes for shipping
