Requirements
- 5+ years finance/accounting experience in high-growth environments
- Strong accounting, controlling, or audit background
- Deep understanding of HGB accounting, financial statements, and closing processes
- Hands-on experience with accounting tools and scalable finance processes
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic and hands-on approach
- Strong communication skills for translating numbers to insights
- Fluent German (B2/C1+) and English (C1)
Tasks
- Optimize and shape the financial backbone of sewts
- Work with leadership to develop financial strategy
- Ensure solid financial foundations, including clean books and audit-ready structures
- Manage the entire finance and accounting function
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant accounting (HGB) with external partners
- Handle monthly reporting and annual closings
- Prepare financial statements and support audits and tax processes
- Optimize and scale accounting processes and systems (e.g., DATEV)
- Shape financial planning, forecasting, and controlling
- Lead investor reporting and fundraising preparation
- Maintain an investor-ready data room with accuracy and completeness
- Drive cash management, liquidity planning, and runway control
- Serve as a financial sparring partner to the leadership team
