Field Application Scientist, IOMS (EMEA)(m/w/x)
On-site and remote product training for scientific solutions, optimizing customer workflows with hands-on assistance. HPLC, IRMS, and/or Orbitrap technology experience strongly preferred. Annual incentive bonus, healthcare, and career development prospects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or related field
- 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in environmental, geosciences, or life sciences
- HPLC, IRMS and/or Orbitrap technology (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of isotopic analysis (strong advantage)
- Analytical method development and data analysis
- Customer-facing or applications role experience (highly desirable)
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Proven collaboration and teamwork capabilities
- Fluent English
- Additional European languages (advantage)
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to ~70% across EMEA)
Tasks
- Deliver on-site and remote product training
- Support customers through hands-on assistance
- Optimize customer workflows and methods
- Conduct technical presentations and workshops
- Build strong relationships as a technical advisor
- Support pre-sales and post-sales activities
- Execute product demonstrations in the demo lab
- Plan and qualify pre-demo activities
- Generate and evaluate experimental data
- Report and interpret results to customers
- Develop and optimize IOMS applications
- Generate high-quality analytical data
- Troubleshoot complex analytical challenges
- Communicate insights to customers and stakeholders
- Manage and escalate customer issues
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and service teams
- Provide customer feedback and market insights
- Contribute to regional strategies and objectives
- Stay updated on scientific and industry trends
- Act as an IOMS subject matter expert
- Support internal training and best practices
