Engineer, Acoustic Systems(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Acoustics
- Master’s degree in Engineering preferred
- Tonmeister degree
- Thorough knowledge of acoustics
- Three years or more of design experience of audio systems
- 3+ years of experience in an audio related field
- Specific experience in acoustical engineering, transducer engineering, digital signal processing, amplifier engineering, physical/psycho-acoustics and recording arts
- Knowledge of best practices in product development and sound tuning
- User experience and knowledge of audio tools
- Basic knowledge of loudspeaker design
- Playing multiple instruments preferred
- Excellent hearing capability
- Detailed knowledge of acoustic theory, sound reproduction and sound system tuning
- Experience on algorithm development and programming (e.g. Matlab, C, C++)
- Main communication language: English; optional: German, Swedish, Italian or French
- Proficient in identifying and solving issues
- Ability to cooperate on technical and artistical solutions
- Project Management skills
- Basic technical and construction skills
- Open to travel to Harman sites within Europe (up to 75% of the time)
- Drivers License
Tasks
- Design and tune automotive audio systems
- Prepare technical requirements and presentations
- Support departmental initiatives as directed
- Provide technical support for customer and interdepartmental projects
- Develop and document tools and best practices
- Plan and manage customer projects with stakeholders
- Transport cars between customers and the car lab
- Prepare for internal and external audits
- Organize maintenance for local pool cars and equipment
- Support mechanical tasks like disassembling and mounting components
- Create and maintain project documentation for stakeholders
- Travel to customers and Harman sites across Europe weekly
