EMI/EMC Simulation Engineer(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in simulation engineering
- At least 3 years in EMI/EMC simulations for automotive electronics
- Deep EM fundamentals: Maxwell-based EM understanding
- Understanding of full-wave vs special cases
- Understanding of coupling mechanisms, CM/DM conversion, resonance, radiation, shielding effectiveness
- Track record of leading technical projects
- Experience in regulated industries (automotive, aerospace, healthcare)
- Experience in cross-functional and global teams
- Driving alignment between technical and business objectives
- Tool proficiency with Ansys AEDT or Siemens EDA
- Understanding of automotive development processes and standards
- Good leadership skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to guide teams
- Ability to engage with executives
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
- Experience simulating EMC at system/vehicle level
- Experience deploying design-to-validation workflows
- Expertise in nonlinear EMC phenomena
- Expertise in co-simulation
- Expertise in TVS/ESD behavior, ferrite saturation, SMPS mode transitions
- Mapping induced disturbances to software-defined functional criteria
- Experience building model libraries (connectors, CMCs, ferrites, absorbers)
- Experience with post-processing tools emulating compliance receivers
- HPC/GPU acceleration experience for EM workloads
- Best practices for model version control, automation, and traceability
- Fluency in German and English languages
- Willingness to travel domestic and international
- Willingness to relocate to primary office location
Tasks
- Build and lead virtual EMI/EMC capability
- Reduce reliance on late-stage physical chamber validation
- Accelerate first-time pass for complex automotive electronics
- Define virtual EMI/EMC roadmap
- Create modeling architecture and V3 workflows
- Develop scalable hybrid simulation workflow
- Partition problems across simulation methods
- Choose appropriate physics fidelity
- Translate software operating modes into EM-realistic sources
- Develop mode libraries
- Convert modes into calibrated waveforms and stimuli
- Design and lead correlation experiments
- Quantify model accuracy
- Establish acceptance criteria and model governance
- Set cross-SBU modeling standards
- Create mesh guidelines
- Develop uncertainty budgets
- Plan parameter sweeps and Monte Carlo simulations
- Document best practices
- Train broader team
- Provide actionable EMC guidance
- Prevent issues during architecture and design phases
- Drive toolchain integration and automation in PLM
- Manage compute strategy
- Partner with test labs and suppliers
- Align virtual models with real fixtures
- Ensure vendor component models are simulation-ready
