Requirements
- Degree-level qualification in science, occupational safety, or related field
- Certification as „Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit“ (ASiG §6)
- Fire Protection Officer qualification
- Relevant environmental qualification
- Lead Auditor certification (ISO 14001 & 45001)
- Safety Culture Analysis and development, including behavior-based safety programs
- Extensive EHS experience in global, multi-site organization
- Working knowledge of German occupational health and safety legislation
- Demonstrable application of ATEX 137 regulations in chemical warehouse
- Fluent German and fluent English (C1)
- SEVESO inventory management and calculation experience would be an asset
- Ergonomics experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of safety in automation would be an asset
Tasks
- Lead EHSS&S topics across German operations
- Ensure legal compliance
- Drive continuous improvement
- Strengthen proactive safety culture
- Identify and mitigate SIF risks
- Develop and maintain Safe Systems of Work
- Act as primary EHS contact for regulators
- Manage incident investigations
- Conduct root cause analysis
- Support ISO 14001 certifications
- Support ISO 45001 certifications
- Partner with operations to reduce risk
- Partner with customers to reduce risk
- Deliver EHS training
- Manage third-party EHS providers
