- Establish governance frameworks for transportation processes
- Set performance standards for transportation processes
- Design feasibility studies for cost reduction
- Conduct distribution analysis and research projects
- Lead design of future-state transportation capabilities
- Implement future-state transportation capabilities
- Partner with Digital Supply Chain / IT on technology evaluation
- Deploy transportation technologies like TMS and visibility platforms
- Drive innovation in cost-to-serve optimization
- Drive innovation in sustainability initiatives
- Drive innovation in service differentiation
- Drive innovation in risk management
- Standardize freight billing and invoicing processes
- Standardize shipment damage reduction processes
- Standardize freight mode optimization
- Evaluate global warehouse and transportation footprint
