Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or scientific/technical discipline
- Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) preferred
- APICS certification strongly recommended
- Lean, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certifications preferred
- Minimum 10 years progressive experience in supply chain or operations leadership, ideally life sciences, pharmaceutical, or clinical trial services sector
- Proven track record in regulated logistics, distribution, import/export compliance
- Experience driving operational transformation and digital enablement initiatives
- Preferred demonstrated success leading multi-country and multi-site operations
- Deep understanding of supply chain, logistics, and distribution processes
- Strategic and analytical thinking with strong execution focus
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and influencing skills
- People management experience (at least 5 years)
- Commitment to customer focus, operational excellence, continuous improvement
- Very good English and German language skills
Tasks
- Develop and execute regional supply chain strategies
- Guide end-to-end supply chain planning
- Manage material availability
- Optimize inventory performance
- Oversee demand forecasting
- Integrate SIOP processes
- Lead integration and optimization of warehousing, fulfillment, transportation
- Lead integration and optimization of materials management, scheduling
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans
- Deliver world-class customer satisfaction
- Drive cost efficiency
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Ensure business continuity and operational resilience
- Oversee daily supply chain operations
- Manage material receipt and storage
- Oversee fulfillment and distribution
- Manage staging and material returns/destruction
- Maintain GMP/GDP/IATA compliance
- Ensure ongoing audit readiness
- Drive continuous improvement and Lean principles
- Achieve productivity gains using PPI
- Drive digital enablement initiatives
- Optimize service levels and performance using KPIs and planning tools
- Partner with global supply chain and commercial teams
- Collaborate with Packaging Operations, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs
- Work closely with Finance, HR, and Client Services
- Act as primary operational interface with global leadership
- Ensure visibility, alignment, and execution across the value chain
- Strengthen operational reliability
- Ensure seamless delivery of clinical materials
- Achieve growth, profitability, and working-capital objectives
- Optimize inventory, capacity planning, and cost structures
- Coordinate cost actions with senior leadership
- Manage budget impact across sites and divisions
- Contribute to capital planning and investment proposals
- Focus on network modernization, automation, and expansion
