• •Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
• •Professional proficiency in English and German

Tasks

• •Co-lead the Software Development Department
• •Empower and support engineering team managers
• •Provide coaching and mentorship to leaders
• •Create a positive work environment based on open communication
• •Instill a spirit of continuous improvement in code and processes
• •Connect with other departments to resolve dependencies
• •Provide visibility on team progress for product initiatives
• •Establish best practices for cross-functional collaboration
• •Define a recruiting strategy with engineering and recruiting teams
• •Plan, budget, and control the Engineering part of the Software Department
• •Represent the Engineering department to stakeholders
• •Facilitate communication between engineering teams and stakeholders
• •Assume accountability for the long-term technical strategy
• •Actively participate in the WMDE leadership team
