You will lead the technical evolution of complex field data systems, bridging the gap between socio-economic research and ecological monitoring to uncover new insights into human adaptation.

Requirements

• •Advanced degree in economics or related discipline
• •Experience managing remote field research sites
• •Responsibility for multi-year field research systems
• •Expertise in longitudinal household data systems
• •Excellent programming skills in R, Julia, and Python
• •Experience integrating ecological and geospatial data
• •Ability to combine mobile platforms and pipelines
• •Understanding of field data quality management
• •Experience working with communities and NGOs
• •Strong communication of complex technical concepts
• •Excellent project coordination and planning skills
• •Excellent spoken and written English skills

Tasks

• •Design and develop large-scale digital field research systems
• •Manage high-frequency longitudinal data on household economics
• •Maintain multi-year household panel data collection systems
• •Integrate economic data with field-based ecological measurements
• •Connect remote sensing and computer vision data with socio-economic sets
• •Ensure reliable system operation despite reporting delays and seasonal variations
• •Coordinate technical integration across multiple research programs and sites
• •Provide technical support and training to remote field teams
• •Develop field-tested protocols and documentation for system resilience
• •Support computational pipelines for ecological and behavioral data analysis
• •Collaborate with local partners to ensure culturally appropriate technical systems
