Development Engineer with focus on Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG)(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Dipl. Ing. or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or higher
- At least 5 years of experience in development of variable turbine geometry components
- Understanding of Gasoline exhaust pulse stimulation and its impact on materials
- Knowledge and experience with problem solving processes and statistical methods for data analysis
- Basic knowledge of project management and CAE development tools in automotive sector
- Experience with standard measurement and evaluation methods for component measurement
- Knowledge of CAD systems including statistical tolerance stack-ups
- Strong team player with coordination and communication skills
- Structured, analytical, entrepreneurial thinking and goal-oriented approach
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Tasks
- Develop Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) for gasoline turbochargers
- Take technical ownership in a cross-functional team
- Optimize aerodynamic stage design and implementation
- Procure qualified prototypes for testing
- Define and analyze validation scopes in simulation and testing
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Support supplier and customer projects in problem-solving
- Plan and coordinate internal and external development activities
- Monitor aerodynamic optimization and design integration
- Lead brainstorming workshops
- Ensure technical feasibility with global suppliers and production plants
- Define and coordinate D-FMEA and DVP&R activities
- Communicate project progress in management reviews
- Drive problem-solving during development and program launches
