Leading design package development for critical cooling and power infrastructure in hyperscaler data centers, overseeing procurement. Data center design management experience, European market familiarity required. Working with world's leading hyperscalers, cloud providers.
Requirements
- Degree in construction management, engineering, or comparable qualification
- Experience in data center design management or leadership
- Proficiency in data center design
- Familiarity with European construction markets
- Knowledge of critical cooling and power infrastructure
- Familiarity with building codes and fire ordinances
- Fluency in English
- Willingness to travel up to 60%
- Connection with company mission and values
Tasks
- Lead the development and enhancement of design packages
- Maintain and update design standards and specifications
- Cultivate client relationships through technical leadership
- Update leadership on design progress and risks
- Oversee procurement and select local design partners
- Implement Value Engineering and manage contracts
- Drive process improvements in design and construction
- Lead change management with consultants and contractors
- Mitigate risks through regular on-site inspections
- Ensure design alignment with regional requirements
- Manage design teams and provide regular feedback
- Facilitate Lessons Learned meetings for continuous improvement
- Interface with customers to ensure technical compliance
- Own site-specific design briefs and baselines
- Analyze cost implications of design developments
- Drive benchmarking for internal regional alignment
- Manage and integrate all design change proposals
