Deco/Printer Process Specialist Launch Team(m/w/x)
Equipment start-up and ramp-up for aluminum can production lines at global packaging manufacturer. Five years of experience on Concorde or Rutherford printers and Train The Trainer qualification required. Rotating shift patterns, 10% travel for site support.
Requirements
- Electrical or Mechanical qualification, 5yrs experience on Concorde or Rutherford Deco/Printer, or comparable qualification
- Training qualification to minimum Train The Trainer
- Knowledge of Can making process and subject expertise
- Ability to transfer process knowledge to others
- Capability in equipment setup and troubleshooting
- Competent computer skills for data analysis
- English communication skills (minimum communicative level)
- Preferred: Experience with line launches or rebuilds
- Ownership mindset and continuous improvement focus
- Ability to mentor and develop team members
- Attention to detail and adherence to specifications
- Effective communication across all departments
- Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Can manufacturing
- Knowledge of Problem Solving techniques and Lean

- Lead equipment start-up and ramp-up
- Provide hands-on technical installation support
- Manage equipment commissioning and early production

- Guide lines toward stable operation
- Deliver structured technical training to teams
- Provide on-the-job and classroom instruction
- Develop operator and mechanic capabilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical and chemical process issues
- Diagnose and resolve production problems
- Develop line awareness within plant teams
- Participate in root cause analysis
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques
- Validate SOPs and work instructions
- Ensure training materials reflect start-up conditions
- Promote food safety and sanitation discipline
- Maintain housekeeping and internal compliance standards
- Verify readiness of parts and tooling
- Identify critical start-up resource needs
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams
- Transition lines to steady-state operations
- Document and communicate lessons learned
- Contribute best practices for future builds
- Achieve efficiency and spoilage targets
- Lead overall Decorator area start-up performance
- Manage New Build and Line Conversions
- Ensure environmental compliance during start-up
- Monitor material and utility usage KPIs
- Build sustainable performance and autonomous operation
- Provide emergency breakdown support
- Support and execute efficient size conversions
- Implement level 3 BOE standards
- Maintain safety and maintenance pillar elements
