Data Privacy Specialist(m/w/x)
Advising on daily Data Privacy Office activities for a mobility solutions provider. 3+ years data privacy experience with EU data protection knowledge required. Global, cross-regional work environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in data privacy, compliance, or related role
- Working knowledge of EU data protection and privacy regulations
- Comfort with complex topics and independent work with judgment
- Experience in global or cross-regional environment
- Experience supporting privacy inquiries and data protection rights
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, process improvement
- Clear written/verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration
- Proficiency in English
- Bachelor’s degree, professional certification (CIPP/E, CIPP/US), or equivalent experience
- Legal background
- Proficiency in German or other European language
- Knowledge of data privacy laws (LGPD, CCPA, CPRA, PIPL)
- Prior experience as data privacy management systems administrator
Tasks
- Serve as a privacy advisory contact for stakeholders
- Support and sustain BorgWarner's global privacy program
- Contribute to daily Data Privacy Office activities
- Support strategic initiatives for data privacy compliance
- Assist with data privacy inquiries and matters
- Support data breach responses and documentation
- Coordinate with data privacy coordinators regularly
- Ensure alignment with BorgWarner privacy policies
- Maintain and improve BorgWarner's data management system
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Develop and deliver data privacy training for employees
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards
- Respond to inquiries with internal partners
- Identify privacy gaps with internal partners
- Propose privacy solutions with internal partners
- Integrate practical privacy approaches with partners
