Requirements
- 3+ years leading/managing technical teams
- 5+ years professional experience in data engineering, ML systems, cloud infrastructure, or related
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in CS, ML, Data Engineering, or related
- Proven ability to design and scale large-scale data pipelines, platforms, or cloud storage
- Experience building/managing datasets for deep learning systems, ideally multimodal data
- Experience with data lifecycle management, data collection operations, or high-throughput cloud data platforms is a strong advantage
- Strong foundations in Python, cloud data tooling, and modern data/ML engineering practices
- Experience within robotics ecosystems (ROS2 or similar frameworks) is beneficial but not required
Tasks
- Own the end-to-end data lifecycle
- Ensure high-quality datasets for model training
- Define dataset strategy and roadmap
- Support scalable training data for ML models
- Architect a robust cloud-based data platform
- Continuously improve data platform processes
- Operationalize the data lifecycle with clear processes
- Implement KPIs and feedback loops
- Lead and mentor a data team
- Foster technical excellence and ownership
- Partner with Product, Research, and Engineering teams
- Act as central point of contact for data strategy
- Collaborate with robotics and systems teams
- Support data collection in robotics environments
- Support data integration in robotics environments
