Designing and operating scalable batch/streaming pipelines for data ingestion from diverse sources at a global business data platform. Hands-on AWS experience and Python/SQL for data preparation essential. Work from abroad 10 days/year, free Perplexity Enterprise access.
Requirements
- Ability to fetch and prepare data using Python and SQL
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Prefect, Airflow
- Familiarity with data ingestion from Files, S3, Iceberg tables, APIs, databases
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Knowledge of best practices for data storage, security and scalability on AWS
- Experience with Snowflake, S3, EC2 and ECS
- Implementation of CI/CD pipelines for seamless software development and deployment
- Automation of data workflows, reducing manual effort
- Proficiency in using Terraform to define and provision cloud infrastructure
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years in data engineering building production pipelines and platforms
- Healthcare domain experience is a plus
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to transform complex data into actionable insights
- Fluent in English, German a plus
- Highly structured, curious, and motivated to work in an international and cross-functional environment
