Data Engineer - Data Platform(m/w/x)
Designing and operating scalable batch pipelines and ELTs/ETLs for a global business data platform. 2+ years of data engineering experience with Python and SQL required. Work from abroad for 30 days/year, hybrid work, and flex-time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years in data engineering building production pipelines and platforms
- Developing ELT/ETL processes and data automation using Python and SQL
- Proficiency in workflow orchestration, containerization, and version control tools
- Good understanding of data modelling and architecture
- Strong interest in best practices
- Knowledge in dlt, dbt, Snowflake, infrastructure as code, and software development best practices
- Hands-on experience in cloud services and infrastructure
Tasks
- Design and operate scalable batch pipelines
- Ensure data quality, security, and cost efficiency
- Develop and optimize ELTs/ETLs for data integration
- Enhance data management in the data lake and other systems
- Develop reliable data orchestration workflows
- Support the ranking creation process
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, and analysis teams
- Deliver documented, reproducible datasets
- Power rankings, KPIs, and business decisions
- Monitor and optimize data infrastructure
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security
