- Define and maintain central business objects, canonical dimensions, shared metrics, and facts
- Ensure Core Data Model serves as stable, business-oriented foundation
- Develop modeling standards, naming conventions, layering concepts, reuse patterns, and dbt design guidelines
- Ensure consistent implementation of standards across all teams
- Safeguard semantic consistency of entire data model
- Resolve domain conflicts and ensure identical business terms are modeled once
- Review changes affecting core layers
- Act as technical design authority for model changes in Snowflake/dbt
- Balance local requirements with long-term model coherence
- Ensure models remain performant, scalable, maintainable, and of high quality
