Requirements

• •Bachelor's or master's degree in horticulture
• •Extensive experience in operations
• •Experience in leading diverse teams

• •Strong communication skills in German and English
• •Any additional European language preferred

• •Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

Tasks

• •Lead a horticultural team of 32 colleagues.
• •Ensure compliance with maintenance standards through inspections.
• •Assess and report on KPIs for cost-effective operations.
• •Formulate solutions and provide recommendations to the Operations Manager.
• •Manage maintenance and restoration projects per the Area Management Plan.
• •Assist with maintenance planning and subsidy applications.
• •Handle building permits and contract quotations.
• •Establish and oversee maintenance programs and contracts.
• •Share technical expertise and promote sustainable practices.
• •Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
• •Collaborate with HR to identify training and development needs.
• •Prepare succession planning for knowledge transfer.
• •Monitor expenditures and assist in preparing the yearly budget.
• •Report cost pressures or underspending to the line manager.
• •Maintain relationships with local authorities and contractors.
• •Ensure the Commission's presence at ceremonial events.
• •Liaise with officials for Remembrance Day arrangements.
• •Supervise contractors in neighboring countries as needed.
