Requirements

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in compliance
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in financial crime prevention, particularly German and European regulations
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Professional-level German and excellent English, both spoken and written
  • Strong analytical skills and structured, independent working style
  • Experience in banking or fintech
  • Legal degree or similar qualification
  • Practical understanding of business operations and risk
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as design thinking and project management

  • Lead and develop the German Compliance team
  • Shape and oversee compliance processes
  • Own the strategic and operational direction of the compliance monitoring program
  • Represent iwoca in German and Luxembourg regulatory forums
  • Serve as the RC Function for the Luxembourg entity
  • Ensure compliance with AML/CTF and Financial Crime requirements
  • Evolve internal policies continuously
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes
  • Share relevant compliance insights
  • Conduct regular risk assessments for compliance and AML/CTF
  • Adjust policies as products and markets evolve
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in compliance
