Tasks

  • Set up CNC milling and turning machines
  • Program and operate CNC machines for precision prototypes
  • Utilize 5-axis simultaneous machining techniques
  • Interpret complex CAD drawings
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Develop machining strategies using SIEMENS NX CAM
  • Program 5-axis machines using Heidenhain and G-code
  • Modify CAD models and manufacturing-ready data
  • Design tooling and fixturing for complex machining
  • Manufacture individual parts and small batches
  • Follow technical drawings and 3D models
  • Supervise machine operations and adjust parameters
  • Perform in-process inspections with precision measuring tools
  • Maintain machines, tools, and equipment
  • Perform basic equipment troubleshooting
  • Optimize programs and machining strategies
  • Improve workflow efficiency and quality
