Requirements

  • Qualified actuary with university degree
  • 10+ years senior actuarial or quantitative risk management experience
  • Deep knowledge of non-life (re)insurance business
  • In-depth understanding of ART actuarial methodologies
  • Experience interacting with regulatory bodies
  • Ability to make sense of complex issues
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong people-leadership skills
  • Ability to ensure ethical AI practices
  • Proven ability to lead international/virtual teams

Tasks

  • Drive actuarial strategy and provide leadership for ART AG and global ART LoB
  • Ensure strong reserving, capital-modelling, and reinsurance oversight
  • Lead reserving and technical provisions with robust methodology
  • Ensure transparent assumptions and regular reserve reviews
  • Oversee risk-capital modelling to meet SST requirements
  • Support Solvency II group aggregation with Risk Management
  • Provide actuarial oversight of the reinsurance program
  • Evaluate capital and P&L impacts of reinsurance
  • Act as actuarial interface to regulators and auditors
  • Ensure clear communication with regulators and auditors
  • Deliver high-quality regulatory submissions for ART AG, ART Bermuda, and ART LoB
  • Contribute actuarial insight to strategic planning
  • Include capital considerations in strategic planning
  • Support portfolio steering and long-term ART business development
