- Maintain and enhance internal controls
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
- Report monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance
- Lead monthly financial closing process
- Post accruals, provisions, depreciation, and inventory valuations
- Convert German GAAP to applicable standards
- Complete month-end close within timelines
- Prepare monthly reporting packs and financial statements
- Analyze monthly results against budget and forecast
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Reconcile bank, AR/AP, inventory, and fixed assets
- Ensure accurate and transparent financial data
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting
- Monitor performance against budget and forecast
- Identify and implement corrective actions
- Partner with teams to improve cost control and profitability
- Provide financial insights for strategic decisions
- Prepare and submit statutory financial statements
- Coordinate annual audits and auditor communication
- Oversee tax reporting and compliance
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact
- Lead and develop the accounting/finance team
- Set clear objectives and performance standards
- Improve financial processes and closing efficiency
- Support ERP and system improvements
- Drive automation and standardization of reporting
