Description

As a Backend Engineer, you will focus on developing and maintaining backend features and APIs, collaborating with teams to ensure scalability, and owning projects from design to deployment. This role will also involve writing tests, contributing to documentation, and sharing knowledge with peers.

Requirements

• •4–6 years of backend development experience
• •Proven ability to build and scale real-world APIs
• •Experience working at startups or in fast-paced teams
• •Passion for coding complex features
• •Ability to write clean, modular, and well-tested code
• •Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• •Builder mindset and enjoyment of seeing code run in production
• •Familiarity with message queues (e.g., Kafka, SNS/SQS)
• •Prior work on logistics, SaaS, or real-time tracking systems
• •Exposure to Prisma ORM, WebSockets, or event-driven patterns
• •Experience working with LLM-powered services or backend integrations

Tasks

• •Build and maintain robust backend features and APIs using Nest.js and TypeScript
• •Collaborate with product and engineering leads to implement scalable backend services
• •Write unit and integration tests to improve test coverage
• •Support automation best practices
• •Contribute to API documentation and schema design
• •Establish cross-service contracts
• •Own features from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring
• •Participate in code reviews and pair programming
• •Engage in team knowledge sharing
