Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biochemistry, or related fields, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in Biologics GMP manufacturing with operational experience
- Advanced knowledge of DeltaV, MES and GMP manufacturing principles and compliance in automation
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, get results, and promote collaboration
- Discernment and savvy in understanding business landscape
- Strong customer orientation
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Proficient in English
- German proficiency is a plus
Tasks
- Manage programs to enhance operational capability and standardization
- Lead and manage a team of Automation Engineers
- Ensure team alignment with operational priorities
- Mentor and provide performance feedback to team members
- Develop and implement team development plans
- Collaborate with Operations, MSAT, and Quality to align automation goals
- Coordinate schedules and deliverables for operations
- Manage team capacity effectively
- Lead a local Center of Excellence for MES and DCS Automation
- Work with the global Center of Excellence to standardize automation
- Remove barriers and ensure consistent communication
- Build alignment between global strategy and site operations
- Contribute automation expertise to design development teams
- Provide high-level troubleshooting support
- Act as a subject matter expert in DeltaV and Syncade systems
- Manage GMP lifecycle for biological manufacturing
- Handle compliance tasks for multi-asset SOP assessments
- Ensure timely closure of CAPAs
