Requirements

  • •MSc. or PhD. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent automotive system/software safety engineering experience
  • •Profound practical experience in SOTIF engineering, including ISO21448, STPA, and residual risk quantification
  • •Knowledge in automotive safety engineering including ISO26262 and safety methods
  • •Familiarity with L2/NCAP regulations and applicable safety standards
  • •Hands-on attitude and positive engagement to inspire teammates
  • •Professional proficiency in English; German and/or Chinese knowledge advantageous
  • •Willingness to travel abroad (up to 25% of the time)

Master's degree

Doctoral / PhD

Work Experience

approx. 1 - 4 years

Tasks

  • •Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of AD/ADAS and Active Safety
  • •Apply ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 safety analysis methods
  • •Develop system safety concepts and review system architecture
  • •Identify, define, and specify safety measures and requirements
  • •Collaborate with system engineering and development teams
  • •Design and review AD/ADAS system safety architectures
  • •Consider fail-operational, fail-degraded, and fail-safe aspects
  • •Define and review system and software level safety requirements
  • •Ensure performance, functional safety, and SOTIF properties
  • •Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and trends
  • •Extract and share key insights impacting Huawei’s ADS solution
