- •Experience as Software or Data Engineer
- •Strong Python experience (4+ years)
- •Experience with production ETL/ELT pipelines
- •Strong data modeling skills
- •Experience with orchestrated data pipelines
- •System design and architecture skills

- •Comfort operating in ambiguity
- •Pragmatic and quality-driven approach
- •Collaborative and low-ego personality
- •Fluency in English
- •Experience running regular 1:1s
- •Formal people management experience

- •Hands-on experience with dbt
- •Experience modernising legacy pipelines
- •Familiarity with Django or FastAPI
- •Experience with observability tools
- •Experience with distributed task queues
- •Understanding of cost-aware architecture

- •Build and develop a backend and data engineering team
- •Mentor engineers through regular 1:1s and feedback

- •Manage hiring and onboarding for team scaling
- •Design scalable and cost-efficient data acquisition systems
- •Establish best practices for testing and observability
- •Modernize ad-hoc initiatives into production-grade systems
- •Ensure long-term system scalability and reliability
- •Advise other teams on data engineering standards
- •Collaborate with managers on company-wide data strategy
- •Promote data quality and measurable outcomes
- •Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
- •Solve complex system design challenges with engineers
