Description

As an Android QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality of mobile lottery experiences by testing and maintaining Android applications. This role involves collaborating with various teams, improving QA processes, and mentoring colleagues to uphold high standards.

Requirements

• •At least 3 years of hands-on experience testing native Android apps
• •Collaboration and teamwork skills in cross-functional teams
• •Practical experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose Test, and Espresso
• •Solid understanding of testing pyramid and complex problem diagnosis
• •Comfort with writing UI and end-to-end tests
• •Familiarity with app release processes and continuous integration
• •Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and modern networking libraries
• •Strong English and good German communication skills
• •Detail-oriented with a good eye for UI/UX and accessibility principles
• •Experience with testing iOS apps and web apps is a plus

Tasks

• •Drive high-quality standards within the team
• •Test and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• •Take ownership of the quality throughout the app lifecycle
• •Maintain the test framework in collaboration with developers and QA engineers
• •Create automated tests for Android applications

• •Conduct thorough reviews of product specifications and software design
• •Identify potential areas of concern before testing
• •Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and best practices
• •Monitor performance and stability using Firebase Crashlytics
• •Explore opportunities to enhance observability with tools
• •Identify, document, and track software defects
• •Communicate issues clearly and recommend actions for fixing
• •Participate in code reviews and mentor colleagues
• •Uphold quality standards across the team
