AI Research Intern for Optical Field Manipulation Algorithms(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD student in optics, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field
- Solid foundation in wave optics, Fourier optics, diffraction, interference, and laser principles
- Strong theoretical and practical background in optical field manipulation and machine learning
- Hands-on experience with LCoS devices, end-to-end deep learning model development, or familiarity with reinforcement learning
- Proficiency in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with structured and goal-oriented working style
- Enthusiasm for working in an international team and fluent English communication skills
Tasks
- Conduct research on deep-learning algorithms for optical field manipulation
- Develop phase pattern optimization techniques for far-field diffraction
- Create physical and data-driven models of LCoS devices
- Set up and manage experimental systems
- Collect and analyze measurement data
- Validate performance of predicted phase patterns
- Explore state-of-the-art methods in related fields
- Identify innovative research directions from academic publications and patents
- Collaborate with team members and cross-department partners
- Combine research and industry resources to achieve project goals
