Requirements

  • Professional experience with children or young people
  • Art Education skills or teaching art/creative workshops
  • Spoken German proficiency (B1-B2 minimum)
  • Ability to learn activity-specific vocabulary
  • English fluency
  • High physical, mental, and emotional resilience
  • Meaningful, professional teamwork experience
  • High energy level and excitement
  • Comfort speaking in front of large groups
  • Availability for at least 5 weeks
  • German fluency
  • English fluency
  • Outdoor education or summer camps experience
  • Significant background in Art Education
  • Driver's License
  • Ability to drive a minivan
  • Availability for entire summer season (June 20 – August 9)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • 3 professional references
  • Overseas conduct certificates where applicable

Tasks

  • Deliver fun and engaging activities and excursions
  • Follow Alpadia’s approach to language immersion
  • Run Creative Arts programs 3 afternoons/week
  • Work closely with other Activity Leaders and Teachers
  • Ensure students have a meaningful time at camp
  • Offer expert supervision and safety
  • Take an active role in day-to-day camp operations
  • Conduct attendance checks
  • Assist during wake-ups and bedtime
  • Lead camp-wide Evening Programs
  • Support students' social, emotional, and cultural development
  • Design and guide excursions with 20-40 participants
  • Transfer diverse skills through arts education
  • Manage child safeguarding and risks

Education

  • Bachelor's degree

Languages

  • German – Business Fluent
  • English – Native
