Requirements

  • •Master’s or Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in power, control, or automation engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • •Several years of professional experience in grid integration of generation plants
  • •Know-how of power engineering, control engineering, or power electronics
  • •Experience with RMS or EMT modelling in at least one simulation software like PSCAD or DigSilent Powerfactory
  • •Knowledge of Matlab, Python, and any other simulation software like PSS/E, EMTP-RV, and EMTP-ATP
  • •Experience in the development of frequency domain simulation models (harmonic models)
  • •Good written and spoken German and English

Tasks

  • •Develop models of electrical characteristics for generation units
  • •Validate and evaluate wind turbine simulation models
  • •Prepare external model validation for certification processes
  • •Support simulation models for internal and external stakeholders
  • •Prepare and review technical documents
  • •Automate validation and verification tasks
  • •Participate in or support international committees on modeling and validation
