(Senior) Cost Manager - Data Centres(m/w/x)
Cost management for large data centre projects, including pre/post-contract duties and contract administration. Proven track record in leading complex commissions required. 4-day work week, company car for private use.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven track record in cost management/quantity surveying services
- Experience leading cost management commissions for large, complex projects
- Technical knowledge of Data centres or related facility assets
- Good knowledge of construction and procurement methods
- Experience with or managing teams using multiple estimating tools
- Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases
- Collaborative approach and strong client/stakeholder relationships
- Good organization and multi-tasking skills
- Good command of written and spoken German and English
- Availability for fulltime on-site work
Tasks
- Act as the primary cost management liaison with clients and stakeholders
- Perform pre- and post-contract duties
- Prepare cost estimates
- Manage procurement and tendering
- Administer contracts
- Manage variations and final accounts
- Complete feasibility studies
- Write procurement reports
- Estimate and cost plan projects
- Produce and present final cost plans
- Manage tender pre-qualification
- Produce tender lists
- Manage tender preliminaries
- Analyze tenders
- Write tender reports
- Compile contractual documents
- Perform timely and accurate cost checks
- Conduct valuations
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports
- Present cost reports to clients
- Interface with clients and consultants
- Manage post-contract cost variances
- Participate in change control processes
- Perform cost risk analysis
- Provide input into value engineering
- Negotiate final accounts
- Approve final accounts
- Maintain feedback on cost estimating
- Contribute to updating estimating best practices
