Requirements
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, or similar
- Significant knowledge and experience in designing and building data models
- Experience with cloud-based data lake services and understanding of data lake concepts
- Excellent SQL skills, including advanced concepts and performance optimisation
- Desirable ability to work with Python (data handling packages)
- Ability to work with version control and CI/CD
- Understanding of working in a tightly-governed and regulated environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Interest in financial services and markets, ideally with previous experience
- Fluent English communication and presentation skills
Tasks
- Shape data from internal services into consistent models
- Transform data to serve specific teams and use cases
- Prepare and clean structured and unstructured data
- Develop high-quality data models for reporting
- Extend AWS-based lakehouse by integrating data
- Build regulatory use cases to empower decision-making
- Design and implement data testing and monitoring
- Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with data teams and product engineers
- Release smart features for products
- Maintain trustworthy documentation and data catalogues
- Ensure clarity and accessibility of data
- Assist colleagues with data landscape and problem resolution
- Stay updated with industry developments in data modelling
- Share best practices within the company
