  • 8+ years software development or equivalent experience with strong testing understanding
  • Developer mindset: coding lifecycle, secure code, code reviews, unknown codebase/language/framework navigation
  • Advanced Java ecosystem knowledge and DevOps mindset understanding
  • Good knowledge of at least one programming language and development environment
  • Experience with Agile methodologies

Tasks

  • Lead a team of 5-10 developers
  • Build, automate, and operate software for millions of customers
  • Foster professional growth and development of team members
  • Promote a high-performance engineering culture
  • Collaborate with Product Management on annual and quarterly objectives
  • Contribute to and oversee technical architecture and engineering direction
  • Collaborate with engineering manager peers to share best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical support
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to engineers
  • Ensure monthly release of SonarQube
  • Help build a platform for other functional squads
  • Maintain high engineering standards
  • Foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement
  • Align feedback with other teams
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for the squad
  • Ensure squad objectives align with company goals
  • Track sprints and progress
  • Align processes and ceremonies with company expectations
  • Collaborate with squad stakeholders
  • Recruit talented engineers
  • Improve the hiring process
  • Ensure effective onboarding of new team members
  • Model company values and behaviors
