Requirements

  • Enrollment in a master's degree program in computational biology, computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts
  • Interest in cloud data platforms and data engineering
  • Working knowledge of Python; familiarity with Pandas and scikit-learn is a plus
  • Willingness to learn new data analytical technologies
  • Very good communication skills in English; German is an advantage
  • Ability to work self-driven and with a high level of self-motivation

Tasks

  • Support data collection from lab devices
  • Integrate lab-related sources into the data analytics platform
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines
  • Collaborate on designing and maintaining data models
  • Engage with lab scientists to understand lab data
  • Facilitate pipeline creation and optimization
  • Assist with data preprocessing and preparation
  • Enhance data quality and usability for projects
  • Create comprehensive documentation of data pipelines
  • Ensure data traceability and adherence to best practices
  • Develop machine learning pipelines for ATS applications
  • Research and implement methodologies for various applications

Education

  • Currently in higher education

Languages

  • English – Business Fluent
  • German – Basic
