Requirements

  • •Studying in Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, or related field
  • •Completion of practical training period required or encouraged
  • •Eagerness to develop skills through on-the-job learning
  • •Enjoyment of teamwork and collaborative learning
  • •Good understanding of material and surface science fundamentals
  • •Curiosity, precision, and proactive attitude towards learning
  • •Good communication skills
  • •Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team
  • •National of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State
  • •Completion of at least 18 months of studies in respective field
  • •Good knowledge of English or French
  • •Enrollment as a full-time student during studentship

Tasks

  • •Learn from experienced engineers, technicians, and scientists
  • •Assist in ongoing projects related to material and surface science
  • •Contribute to analyses, testing, and characterization of materials and coatings
  • •Participate in day-to-day technical activities under supervision
  • •Collaborate and share ideas with an international, multidisciplinary team

English – Business Fluent

French – Basic
