Requirements
- •Production experience with React Native or Electron
- •Background in modular codebases and npm modules
- •5+ years professional software engineering experience
- •Leadership of development teams and stakeholder coordination
- •Experience with mobile, browser, or desktop stores
- •Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
- •Experience building local-first applications
- •Experience with local-first data technologies
- •Familiarity with cross-platform packaging and deployment
- •Familiarity with encryption and secure storage
- •Grasp of asynchronous programming and networking
- •Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and open-source
- •Excellent communication skills
Tasks
- •Define the technical direction and architecture
- •Lead development of peer-to-peer desktop and mobile applications
- •Act as the primary liaison with Holepunch engineers
- •Translate upstream developments into actionable work
- •Design performant cross-platform UX for collaborative tools
- •Integrate and extend the Pear Runtime and Holepunch stack
- •Ship features rapidly and participate in code reviews
- •Write tests and optimize application performance
- •Support external partners and the open-source community
- •Contribute improvements to underlying open-source modules
- •Lead knowledge-sharing sessions across engineering teams
- •Translate product requirements into modular technical plans
- •Coordinate internal and external documentation and training
- •Consolidate and relay technical feedback to Holepunch
- •Guide and mentor various engineering teams
