Requirements

  • Solid experience in backend software development
  • Building distributed and high-availability services
  • High independence and ownership
  • Experience owning complex technical initiatives
  • Sound technical decision-making in ambiguity
  • Experience in TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or C#
  • Ideal experience with RESTful API design
  • Ideal experience with service-oriented architecture
  • Ideal experience with SQL & NoSQL
  • Experience building cloud-native applications
  • Familiarity with Docker, Cloud, or CI/CD
  • Clear English communication skills
  • Knowledge of German as a plus
  • Embodiment of agile and lean values
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn

Tasks

  • Solve complex technical problems for thousands of customers
  • Build new projects from scratch with a fresh engineering team
  • Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and the tech team
  • Report directly to the CTO
  • Provide clear technical direction and high quality standards
  • Drive impact through strong delivery and thoughtful architecture
  • Take ownership of complex initiatives across multiple domains
  • Translate high-level strategy into actionable execution plans
  • Design and build reliable fullstack backend systems
  • Synchronize external systems like CRM and WFM with internal data
  • Contribute to frontend development for seamless stack integration
  • Coach junior developers and foster a clean code culture
  • Develop rule engines and automation scripts with data engineers
  • Maintain best practices in testing and continuous integration
  • Monitor and optimize service performance across environments
  • Gather input from diverse stakeholders to balance market needs
