Talent Acquisition and HR Coordinator(m/w/x)
End-to-end recruitment for e-commerce acquisitions, including screening and global interview coordination. German employment law knowledge required. Visa sponsorship and occupational pension offered.
Requirements
- 2+ years Talent Acquisition, recruiting, HR coordination, or related experience
- Interest and hands-on experience in end-to-end recruiting
- Interest and hands-on experience in candidate-facing work
- Working knowledge of German employment law
- Familiarity with German payroll processes
- Familiarity with German statutory leave types
- Experience managing Works Council relationships
- Strong awareness of Works Council obligations
- Fluent German (native or C2)
- Business proficient English (written and spoken)
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Comfort with HRIS platforms
- Comfort with ATS platforms
- Ability to handle confidential data appropriately
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related
- Experience with Greenhouse
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
- Experience with similar recruiting platforms
- CIPD qualification or equivalent German HR certification
- Previous experience in e-commerce environment
- Previous experience in tech environment
- Previous experience in high-growth scale-up environment
- Experience supporting HR across multiple European jurisdictions
Tasks
- Manage early-stage recruitment for entry-level and professional roles
- Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings
- Conduct structured phone and video screening interviews
- Provide hiring managers with candidate summaries and recommendations
- Coordinate interview scheduling globally
- Serve as primary candidate contact throughout early recruiting
- Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and talent databases
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future needs
- Conduct proactive outreach and engage with prospective talent
- Support employer branding activities and job postings
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS
- Track recruiting metrics and pipeline progression
- Ensure job advertisements meet local legal requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve screening and sourcing strategies
- Partner with hiring managers and People & Culture stakeholders
- Coordinate work permit and visa processes
- Ensure employment contracts and correspondence are compliant with German law
- Manage Works Council relations and co-determination obligations
- Monitor changes to German labour legislation
- Liaise with external German employment lawyers
- Work with Global Payroll Manager on German payroll
- Manage Sozialversicherung registrations and employer reporting
- Coordinate German payroll data flows
- Manage onboarding and offboarding for Berlin-based employees
- Administer probationary periods and leave processes
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records
- Issue required employee documentation
- Support disciplinary and grievance processes
- Respond to HR queries from Berlin-based employees
- Maintain and update the HRIS
- Liaise with IT and Finance for employee lifecycle processes
- Maintain HR ticketing systems
- Administer German employee benefits
- Produce regular HR reporting for the Germany population
