In this role, you will tackle analytical challenges by designing experiments and analyzing complex data. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that your insights enhance project decisions and contribute to continuous improvement in analytical capabilities.

Requirements

• •Higher education (Master's or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field) or apprenticeship as a laboratory technician
• •Minimum of 5 years of direct, hands-on experience in structure elucidation using LC-HRMS
• •Proven, in-depth experience in interpreting high-resolution MS and MS/MS spectra for small molecules, peptides, or oligonucleotides
• •Hands-on skills in developing and optimizing chromatographic (HPLC, GC) and mass spectrometry methods
• •Basic NMR experience
• •Pragmatic, proactive, solution-oriented, and accurate workstyle
• •Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and proficiency in German
• •Keen interest in digital innovation with exposure to tools like GeneData Expressionist®, ACD/Labs or programming languages (Python, JavaScript)
• •Practical experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of HPLC, GC and MS instrumentation
• •Comfortable and experienced in working with MS instruments and software from various vendors

Tasks

• •Design and execute lab experiments for structure elucidation
• •Analyze unknown impurities from process development and degradation studies
• •Utilize qualitative LC-HRMS, 2D-LC-HRMS, and GC-HRMS techniques
• •Evaluate and interpret complex analytical data
• •Provide clear conclusions to guide project teams
• •Support regulatory filings with analytical insights
• •Identify opportunities to enhance workflows
• •Evaluate new software tools for analytical improvement
• •Collaborate with project leads and stakeholders
• •Communicate analytical insights for project integration
• •Participate in cross-functional projects
• •Share knowledge and insights with colleagues
