In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring EHS compliance and fostering a strong safety culture within the Process Unit. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading EHS programs, collaborating with teams, and addressing safety challenges to promote operational excellence.

• •Technical expertise in EHS program management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance

• •Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite
• •Knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements and risk management tools
• •3–5 years prior experience in pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing safety
• •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred

Tasks

• •Provide EHS expertise and foresight
• •Ensure EHS compliance for the Process Unit
• •Maintain direct links with site EHS team and global EHS community
• •Collaborate with site EHS and functional teams for comprehensive EHS support
• •Lead and improve PU-related EHS programs
• •Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety laws
• •Champion specific EHS programs like LOTO
• •Implement FSAP to meet EHS standards
• •Lead EHS operational discussions and self-assessments
• •Provide technical oversight for EHS programs
• •Resolve PU EHS-related issues and escalate as needed
• •Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing for EHS best practices
• •Handle PU EHS inquiries and build relationships with internal customers
• •Identify and address unplanned events like spills and injuries
• •Serve as a member of the site’s emergency team
• •Maintain recordkeeping and implement corrective actions
• •Conduct regular safety EHS walkthroughs and report findings
• •Lead pre-job briefs and post-job discussions to identify hazards
• •Promote a zero-risk culture within the PU
• •Manage EHS platforms and information systems
• •Create and maintain PU EHS reports and records
• •Evaluate PU EHS metrics and perform gap analysis
• •Maintain regulatory preparedness for audits and inspections
• •Manage PU inspection programs and participate in audits
• •Conduct PU safety inspections and communicate findings
• •Own PU EHS CAPA plans with stakeholders
• •Ensure adherence to EHS event timelines and action plans
• •Coordinate PU-related EHS trainings and events
• •Coach and mentor EHS PU champions
• •Process PU EHS-related purchase requisitions and invoices
• •Manage PU contractor safety through pre-qualification and training
• •Implement new EHS standards and innovations in the PU
• •Lead safety-related projects in collaboration with relevant functions
• •Implement continuous improvement methodologies like 5S and Six Sigma
• •Continuously improve PU workflows with innovative solutions
