Software Development Specialist - Automation(m/w/x)
Designing and developing PLC/PC-based software for Rockwell & Siemens automation systems. 3-5 years machine controls and PLC programming experience required. Healthcare manufacturing experience a plus.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechatronics, Electronic, Biomedical, or Automation Engineering
- 3–5 years experience in machine controls and PLC programming
- Experience in healthcare manufacturing (plus)
- Strong knowledge of automation principles
- Strong knowledge of servo systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical/pneumatic design
- Strong knowledge of industrial vision systems
- Strong knowledge of robot software (Staubli, ABB, Fanuc)
- Familiarity with ISO/ANSI/GAMP5 standards
- Familiarity with CFR21 Part 11
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary team
- English B2 minimum
- Italian required for Campo site
- Travel up to 40% domestically and internationally
Tasks
- Design and develop PLC and PC-based software
- Develop and maintain PLC software (Rockwell & Siemens)
- Develop and maintain SCADA applications
- Develop and maintain customized HMI applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment design
- Collaborate with vendors on equipment integration
- Collaborate with plant personnel on equipment commissioning
- Analyze controls data for continuous improvement
- Increase equipment efficiency through data analysis
- Troubleshoot automation issues
- Propose technical improvements for existing systems
- Configure industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, EtherCAT)
- Manage industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, EtherCAT)
- Support robot-based systems
- Support integration with peripheral devices
- Perform machine start-up
- Perform machine testing
- Provide operator training
- Provide on-site support
