SOF Operational Planner(m/w/x)
IW/UW planning and analysis, mitigating emerging threats for SOCEUR operations. Top Secret SCI clearance, CI Poly, and former SOF officer/NCO with 6 years experience required. Flexible time off.
Requirements
- Current Top Secret SCI security clearance
- CI Poly or ability to obtain CI Poly
- Master’s degree in related field with 3 years specialized experience OR Bachelor’s degree in related field with 6 years specialized experience OR 10 years specialized experience
- Former Special Operations field grade officer, warrant officer, or senior non-commissioned officer with minimum six years recent relevant specialized experience as U.S. Army 18-series soldier or MARSOC Advanced Skills Element or Critical Skills Operator 0372 Raider
- ASOTC (or equivalent) graduate
- Special Warfare Training Course (SWTC), Jedburgh Individual Training Course (JITC) or ASOT Manager’s Course graduation (preferred)
- Applicable Pathway Defeat operational experience or CWMD course graduation (highly preferred)
- Experience conducting, supporting, and/or managing sensitive activities and Joint Planning Process (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize and deliver high-standard verbal and written products
- Critical and conceptual thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of diverse team
- More than six years SOF Advisor experience
- More than six years operations-intelligence or security assessment support and analysis experience within DoD or IC
- More than six years military experience and/or military and IC Agency experience
- SOF Operational Design and workflow knowledge
Tasks
- Plan and analyze IW/UW for mitigation efforts
- Oversee deliberate, crisis, and contingency planning quality
- Develop IW/UW functional plans
- Validate IW/UW functional plans
- Coordinate IW/UW plans with partners
- Integrate IW/UW plans with partners
- Advise policymakers, planners, and operational forces
- Assist SOCEUR operational and tactical planning
- Integrate intelligence doctrine, operations, and policy
- Incorporate authorities and lessons learned
- Inform senior leader decision-making
- Coordinate and consolidate foreign partner planning
- Develop foreign partner capabilities and capacity
- Lead, conduct, and validate research and analysis
- Prepare information and decision papers
- Prepare briefings for command leadership
