Requirements
- Strong understanding of trading operations
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent business administration
- Swiss banking apprenticeship (CFC Banque) or Professional Banking Maturity
- Strong knowledge of SWIFT ISO 20022 (MT54x messages)
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Strong knowledge of custodian platforms
- Good knowledge of financial instruments (bonds, equities)
- Experience in other back- or middle-office functions (plus)
- Strong team spirit
- Ability to build solid professional relationships
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to manage priorities effectively
- Ability to challenge existing processes
- Ability to propose process improvements
- Fluency in French (minimum B2 level)
- Fluency in English (minimum B2 level)
- German language skills (asset)
- Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate
Tasks
- Ensure timely settlement of transactions
- Monitor and reconcile failing trades
- Analyze and manage complex transactions
- Handle exceptional situations
- Identify recurring changes in settlement instructions
- Request corrections and creation of networks (SSI)
- Propose solutions to increase efficiency
- Optimize operational processes
- Coordinate and verify incoming payments
- Coordinate and verify outgoing payments
- Collaborate with clients, custodians, and internal teams
- Resolve settlement issues
- Perform daily cash and securities reconciliation
- Resolve breaks in reconciliation
- Ensure proper traceability with consistent commentary
- Comply with financial regulations
- Adhere to internal policies on DvP and FoP/Lending
- Identify and mitigate operational risks
- Review procedures for compliance
