Senior Thermo-Mechanical Engineer in Space Products(m/w/x)
Mechanical and thermal design of satellite equipment for telecommunications and Earth Observation. 7-10 years mechanical engineering experience in Space Industry with NASTRAN/Simcenter proficiency required. Share participation program, allowances for special events.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of thermo-mechanical engineering principles
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering in Space Industry
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., NASTRAN, Simcenter) and familiarity with CAD software (e.g., NX CAD)
- Strong coordination skills in leading engineering projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with spacecraft technical systems
- Familiarity with Space industry standards and guidelines
- Very good command of English, good command of other Swiss National Languages is an asset
- Knowledge of ESATAN-TMS (or other thermal analysis tools) and MS Project
Tasks
- Lead mechanical and thermal design of satellite equipment
- Perform structural analysis
- Support mechanical testing of space equipment
- Evaluate test results and correlate with models
- Manage engineering project delivery and milestones
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for integrated design
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning
- Participate in project reviews to optimize solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning
- Stay updated on mechanical engineering and space technologies
- Ensure compliance with industry standards for spacecraft equipment
- Support development team in technical proposal preparation
