Requirements
- Advanced university degree in law (LLB, JD, LLM)
- Admission to practice law in UK, EU, Canada, US, Australia, or New Zealand
- CIPP/E certification required; CIPP/US and/or CIPP/CN asset
- Seven years post legal qualification experience
- Significant legal knowledge in data privacy, governance, cybersecurity, and AI
- Experience building compliance frameworks and policies
- Excellent command of English
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Effective, confident communicator and team player

Tasks
- Provide independent advice on complex data privacy and technology law issues
- Respond to legal assistance requests from clients and senior counsel
- Prepare legal opinions and memoranda on laws and regulations
- Draft responses to legal and compliance-related communications
- Peer review work of other team members
- Participate in Legal team practice groups
- Draft legal materials for airline members
- Deliver presentations to airline members and external stakeholders
- Manage external counsel, including budget approval
- Monitor and review external counsel performance
- Collaborate with LSCS team members and IATA staff
- Communicate directly with IATA staff, external counsel, and airline members
- Maintain relationships with specialist legal communities
