Senior Research Engineer - Development of magnetic RF microsystem devices(m/w/x)

PhD or MSc with cleanroom microfabrication and 200 mm wafer-level fabrication experience required. €4 daily meal allowance for restaurants, €2 for supermarkets.
Requirements
- PhD or MSc with equivalent relevant work experience in a related field
- Experience in cleanroom microfabrication, magnetism, and/or nanoparticles
- Experience with wafer-level fabrication, preferably on 200 mm wafers
- Experience contributing to cleanroom-related projects with a results-oriented mindset
- Evidence of cleanroom work, such as scientific publications or a PhD thesis
- Knowledge of RF characterization techniques and experience with thin film growth processes
- Familiarity with software tools such as Ansys, Comsol, CST, RF simulations, or Python
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to relocate to Villach, Austria
Tasks
- Focus on magnetic microsystem devices
- Develop and optimize cleanroom fabrication steps
- Deposit and characterize dielectric and magnetic materials
- Create and refine device process flows
- Execute device-level characterization, including magnetic response
- Assess electrical performance and structural characterization
- Identify and solve fabrication-related issues
- Document all process steps, measurements, and results
- Collaborate with the thin film team for magnetic integration
- Work with partners to define device requirements
- Contribute to device prototypes and early demonstrator development
- Analyze and evaluate experimental data
- Meet deadlines for deliverables and milestones
- Contribute to scientific publications
