- 5+ years of professional Python backend development experience

- Production experience with Apache Kafka

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort doing code reviews

- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
- Exposure to event sourcing or CQRS patterns
- Familiarity with frontend technologies
- Knowledge of big data tools
- Exposure to infrastructure as code tools
- Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools
- Experience in sports/betting industries
Tasks
- Own backend services from design to deployment
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and Django
- Architect distributed systems for millions of users
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver features
- Lead and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and discussions
- Manage critical backend components like APIs and data pipelines
- Optimize systems for throughput and fault tolerance
- Implement unit, integration, and performance testing strategies
- Enhance development processes and system observability
- Participate in on-call rotations and support production issues
