Senior Group Business Controller(m/w/x)
Providing data-driven financial insights at human sample management firm for drug discovery. Significant Finance business partnering experience, ideally in life sciences or global firm, required. International collaboration, project-based transformation focus.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
- Significant relevant professional experience in Finance business partnering role, ideally within life sciences/pharmaceutical sector, and/or within a public/global company, and/or experience with supporting same enabling functions
- Experience of setting up reporting structure
- Experience of working in an international environment
- Experience of leading and managing transformation projects
- Experience in a Group Business Controlling Environment
- Strong IFRS knowledge
- Business fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- German fluency
- PCAOB and SOX Experience
- Big 4 experience / Consulting
Tasks
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership
- Deliver proactive, data-driven insights
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Partner with IT leaders on financial strategies
- Drive the financial planning process
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Develop dynamic reporting capabilities
- Transition to forward-looking dashboards
- Support global FP&A transformation
- Contribute to planning tools and process improvements
- Drive business case analysis for resource allocation
- Ensure execution of SOX controls
- Maintain compliance with reporting standards
- Collaborate with Group Accounting on financial closings
- Contribute to high-quality external financial reporting
- Identify automation opportunities for continuous improvement
- Standardize processes for enhanced financial insights
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
