Senior Grid Connection Substations & BESS Manager(m/w/x)

Description

You will drive the energy transition by designing complex grid infrastructure and BESS strategies, while managing everything from technical TSO negotiations to final commissioning.

Requirements

• •Experience leading grid connection processes
• •Compliance with national/regional Grid Codes
• •Interface management with TSOs/DSOs
• •Technical specification design for BESS
• •Experience reviewing electrical layouts
• •Power system studies using software
• •Integration oversight of PMS/EMS
• •Degree in Electrical Engineering or related
• •Experience in renewable or HV engineering
• •Proficiency in power system modeling software
• •Knowledge of HV/MV infrastructure
• •Familiarity with communication protocols
• •Ability to negotiate technical requirements
• •Extensive network of DSOs and TSOs
• •Communicative, independent, and assertive

Tasks

• •Develop cost-effective grid connection solutions
• •Create optimal co-location BESS strategies
• •Identify ideal BESS sizes and technologies
• •Support technical teams with grid applications
• •Liaise with DSOs and TSOs
• •Negotiate grid connection contracts
• •Design electrical infrastructure and cable networks
• •Prepare technical specifications and tender documents
• •Provide technical oversight during construction
• •Lead commissioning and witness testing
• •Conduct factory and on-site plant inspections
• •Coordinate with grid operators and service providers
• •Integrate BESS systems with energy aggregators
• •Collaborate with finance and procurement teams
